Community Guidelines

These Community Guidelines explain how we expect everyone on Kraahl to behave. They cover messaging, posts, listings, and interactions with other users. They are separate from our Terms of Service, which govern the legal relationship between you and Kraahl (payments, fees, liability, accounts, and similar matters).
By using Kraahl, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account limitations, suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.
1. Messaging & Chat
Kraahl messaging is for coordinating purchases, answering questions about listings, and good-faith communication between buyers and sellers. Before you start a conversation, please understand:
- Chats may be recorded and reviewed for user safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and platform improvement. Do not use messaging for content you would not want reviewed by Kraahl.
- No off-platform sales solicitation. We have zero tolerance for using messaging to solicit, arrange, or complete sales outside Kraahl's integrated checkout. This includes sharing external payment links, asking buyers to pay elsewhere, or directing users to other apps or websites to finalize a transaction.
- Keep conversations relevant and respectful. Do not spam, harass, threaten, or send unsolicited promotional messages.
2. Respectful Conduct
Kraahl is a community marketplace. Treat other users with respect. We have no tolerance for:
- Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or targeted abuse.
- Hate speech, slurs, or attacks based on protected characteristics.
- Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual content in messages, posts, or listings.
- Defamatory, obscene, harmful, or threatening content.
- Exploiting or harming minors, including soliciting personal data or sharing inappropriate content.
3. Off-Platform Transactions
All transactions initiated on Kraahl must be completed through our integrated checkout. Completing or soliciting payment outside the platform removes buyer and seller protections and is strictly prohibited.
This includes, without limitation:
- Sharing external payment methods (PayPal.me links, bank transfers, cash apps, crypto wallets, etc.).
- Encouraging another user to pay elsewhere or directing them to other websites, apps, messaging platforms, or QR codes to finalize payment.
- Negotiating on Kraahl but completing the sale off-platform.
- Using listing prices to redirect buyers away from Kraahl rather than to reflect the actual sale price.

4. Posts, Listings & Content
Users can create posts to share photos, text, and engage with the community. Sellers must provide accurate descriptions, pricing, and photos. Everyone must:
- Share truthful information in posts, listings, and communications.
- Use original listing photos that represent the actual item being sold. Stock photos or misleading images are not allowed.
- Not use copyrighted or trademarked materials without permission from the rights holder.
- Not misrepresent the condition, authenticity, or legality of any item.
Prohibited Items
- Adult materials: content or items of an explicit or pornographic nature are strictly forbidden.
- Counterfeit and unauthorized goods, including replicas of branded goods.
- Regulated goods (e.g., alcohol, tobacco, firearms) unless you comply with all applicable laws and provide proof of authorization.
- Pre-orders: users may only list items currently in their possession.
5. Prohibited Activities
- Using Kraahl to plan, solicit, or facilitate illegal conduct or communications.
- Sharing contact details or instructions intended to circumvent platform-managed transactions or payment protections.
- Circumventing platform fees by soliciting off-platform transactions.
- Engaging in fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activities.
- Spamming, phishing, or other malicious online behavior.
- Creating multiple accounts without permission or using another user's account without authorization.
6. Monitoring & Enforcement
Kraahl may monitor listings, posts, private messages, and transactions (including payment flows) to detect illegal conduct, attempts to bypass the platform, harassment, or other violations of these guidelines. Monitoring may include automated scans and manual reviews by authorized team members.
Kraahl applies a single-strike enforcement policy for serious violations: a substantiated violation may result in immediate, lifetime account termination without the option to create a new account. Less severe violations may result in warnings, content removal, or temporary restrictions.
Kraahl reserves the right to remove content, terminate accounts, or take other necessary action to enforce these guidelines. How we handle personal data in connection with monitoring is described in our Privacy Policy.
